2010's Paint Brownville Autumn event....

What a great year 2010 was for everyone. Mother Nature graced us with amazing autumn color and stupendous weather, and all of the planned events went smoothly and joyously.
All of this year's artist were productive and most made sales...some several. It was generally agreed by veterans of this event and new comers that it was a perfect experience, and they all plan to come back for the 2011 event.
A heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed space, time and money to make this foundational event possible!
2009's Paint Brownville Autumn event....

Burrrrr…………What a memorable Old Time Autumn weekend we had for 2009-everyone agrees that despite this year’s weather Paint Brownville Autumn was still a hit. With such positive responses from the community and the 27 participants we've begun work on the 2010 event. We've also attracted 12 new artists who wish to be added and participate in the upcoming year.

In response to participant suggestions, and what the sponsors have considered to be a successful 2009 event (despite the cold), we will again offer free housing to the first 14 registrants for the 2010 season. We have decided to keep the same format for this New Year. The freedom to paint and mingle throughout the weekend has proven to be a success. Click here for details.

We had some great food, great entertainment and caught up with old friends and made new ones.
Again, we would like to thank the 2009 Artists for making this a memorable time for Brownville and its visitors, and encourage registration for the 2010 event.

2008's Paint Brownville Autumn event....

Wow! What a wonderful Old Time Autumn weekend we had for 2008-everyone agrees that the highpoint this year was the Paint Brownville Autumn event. With such positive responses from the community and the 18 participants we have begun work on the 2009 event.
In response to participant suggestions, and what the sponsors considered to be successful from the 2008 event, we will offer free housing to the first 14 registrants for the 2009 season and hope to add more lodging to the offer. Also, the first night we will incorporate a welcome get-together (appetizers) with the registration. We will also provide limited space for examples of the artists' current work or projects for public viewing during the weekend (to be set up on first evening).
Artists will paint along the Missouri River and throughout the Village with events & get-togethers every evening. The final day will remain the same, with artists displaying and selling their work (no commissions) on the Brownville Lyceum Green. At the conclusion of the weekend, the offer of a month-long Brownville exhibit will be made to participating artists (no commission for any sales during the exhibit or weekend).
Again, we would like to thank the 2008 Artists for making this a memorable time for Brownville and it's visitors and encourage registration for the 2009 event.
