Thomas D. Palmerton
Tom Palmerton is one of the midland's most beloved artists. He has delighted patrons for nearly forty years with his magic realism paintings and intricate wildlife sculptures. Mr. Palmerton has successfully pursued a career in the fine arts since graduating from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1959. His work is in collections nationwide, including those of Mutual of Omaha, Vincent Price and ConAgra.
Painter and Sculptor
The artist's statement: "When I paint, I want to share with the viewer my experience, my emotional recollection of a moment gone forever. I never aim to startle. I want to arouse second looks - to have the viewer walk with me and to feel the grass and the wind. In sculpting, I try to express the great love I have for the wildlife of the plains. For a sculpture to be successful, however, I feel, I have to capture that critical moment in nature when time stood still."
Visit Mr. Palmerton's studio and Gallery. Open 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday and Friday or call for an appointment 1-402-825-6731
